High Quality Pre-K

  • At Montgomery Public Schools, high-quality Pre-K experiences lay the foundation for lifelong learning and personal growth. These experiences empower children and their families to become responsible citizens by equipping them with the skills to thrive in school and beyond. By fostering a nurturing and engaging environment, we help young learners develop critical abilities to support their success.

  •  Students who attend First Class Pre-K are ready for kindergarten, outperform their peers in reading and math, have higher attendance rates, and are less likely to repeat grades.

Summer Learning

  • Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) is pleased to present its Summer Learning Program, which is designed to keep students engaged, supported, and prepared for the upcoming school year. Career Technical Education

  • The mission of Career & Technical Education in Montgomery Public Schools is to help students discover their strengths and prepare for life after high school—whether that path leads to college, a career, or both. We recognize that every student is unique, and the Montgomery Public Schools Board of Education is committed to meeting students where they are by providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that support their goals and help them find a successful and productive place in society.

Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit

  • Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) offers eligible high school students the opportunity to participate in Dual Enrollment (Dual Credit) programs in partnership with approved postsecondary institutions. Dual Enrollment allows students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously by successfully completing approved college-level coursework while still enrolled in high school.

  • Participation in Dual Enrollment provides students with early exposure to college expectations, rigorous academic experiences, and the opportunity to accelerate their educational pathway. Courses may be offered on a college campus, online, or through other approved instructional formats, depending on the institution and course.
